Minerals Available for International Export

Best Bentonite exporter India - Shri Balaji Mines and Minerals

Bentonite - API Drilling Grade

Sodium bentonite is the primary viscosifier used in water-based drilling fluids globally - providing viscosity, fluid loss control and borehole wall stability during oil, gas and water well drilling operations. It prevents formation collapse and ensures efficient drill cuttings transport to the surface. Bentonite performs optimally in freshwater and low-salinity drilling fluid systems - making it the standard drilling clay for the majority of onshore and offshore well operations worldwide.

We supply API grade drilling bentonite in two internationally recognised specifications - both freely exportable under current Indian trade policy:

Section 9 (API 13A) - Standard drilling grade bentonite meeting API Specification 13A Section 9 requirements. Used in water-based drilling fluids for standard onshore and offshore operations - the most widely specified bentonite grade by drilling fluid engineers globally.

Section 11 (OCMA Grade) - OCMA specification bentonite widely used in oil well drilling muds across Middle East, Southeast Asia and African drilling markets. Preferred by mud companies and drilling contractors operating in these regions.

Both grades supplied in powder form with full Certificate of Analysis confirming API compliance, viscosity, yield and fluid loss specifications. Available to drilling contractors, mud companies, oilfield service providers and drilling fluid manufacturers internationally.
Best Attapulgite - API 13A Section 12 Drilling Grade supplier in India - Shri Balaji Mines and Minerals

Attapulgite - API 13A Section 12 Drilling Grade

Attapulgite - also known as palygorskite - is a specialist drilling clay used in saltwater and brine-contaminated drilling fluid systems where standard bentonite cannot perform. Unlike bentonite, which loses its viscosity and gelling properties in the presence of salt, calcium and other ionic contaminants, attapulgite maintains its viscosity-building and suspension performance in saline environments - making it the essential drilling clay for salt formations, offshore marine drilling and any well where saltwater or brine contamination of the drilling fluid is expected or encountered.

We supply Attapulgite meeting API 13A Section 12 specification - the internationally recognised standard for attapulgite used in oil and gas drilling fluids. Our API grade attapulgite provides: High yield and gel strength in saltwater and brine-based drilling fluid systems, Effective viscosity control and suspension performance in high-salinity mud environments, Fluid loss control in salt-contaminated water-based drilling fluids, and Compatibility with seawater, saturated salt water and calcium-contaminated drilling systems

Supplied in powder form with full Certificate of Analysis confirming API 13A Section 12 compliance. Available to drilling contractors, mud engineers, oilfield chemical companies and drilling fluid formulators internationally.

Barite barytes powder exporter India - Shri Balaji Mines and Minerals

Barite - Grade CDW (SG below 4.0)

Barite is the most widely used weighting agent in drilling fluid systems globally - used to increase drilling fluid density for formation pressure control, borehole stability and blowout prevention. As per DGFT Notification No. 12/2026-27 dated 17 April 2026, only Grade CDW barite with Specific Gravity below 4.0 is freely exportable from India.

We supply Grade CDW barite to international buyers for the following oilfield applications:

Drilling Fluid Blending - Used as a blending component alongside other weighting agents in drilling fluid systems, particularly in non-critical or shallower well operations where full API 13A minimum SG threshold is not independently required by the operator.

Non-Critical and Workover Operations - Used in workover fluids, completion fluids and kill-weight fluid preparations where strict API 13A independent certification is not mandated. Cost-Optimised Mud Systems - Drilling contractors who blend materials to achieve target mud weight at optimised cost source this grade for controlled blending with other weighting materials.

Supplied in powder and micronized powder form with Certificate of Analysis confirming SG, BaSO₄ content and residue on screen. Available to drilling contractors, mud companies and drilling fluid formulators internationally.

Ball sand for glass industry supplier India - Shri Balaji Mines and Minerals

Quartz Silica Sand - Frac Sand and Oilfield Applications

High-purity quartz silica sand serves two distinct oilfield applications - as a hydraulic fracturing proppant and as an abrasive blasting medium for oilfield surface preparation.

Hydraulic Fracturing (Frac Sand) - Used as a proppant in hydraulic fracturing operations, injected with water and chemicals into formations to hold open fractures and allow oil and gas to flow freely to the wellbore. Performance depends on silica purity, controlled particle size distribution, roundness, sphericity and crush resistance under formation pressure.

Oilfield Surface Preparation - Used as an abrasive blasting medium for surface cleaning and profiling of pipelines, storage tanks, wellheads, offshore platform structures and drilling equipment before protective coating application. Its hardness and angular particle shape provide effective surface cleaning in oilfield maintenance and pipeline coating operations.

Available in multiple purity grades and controlled size specifications - including AFS grain fineness number grades for specific application requirements.

Minerals Available for Domestic Indian Market

The following minerals and grades are supplied by Shri Balaji Mines and Minerals to buyers within India.

Barite - Grade A (SG ≥ 4.2) and Grade B (SG 4.10-4.20)

As per DGFT Notification No. 12/2026-27 dated 17 April 2026 - Grade A barite (SG ≥ 4.2) and Grade B barite (SG 4.10–4.20) are classified as Restricted for export from India. Export of these grades requires DGFT authorisation and is not freely available for international shipment.

We supply both premium API grades to domestic buyers within India:

SG 4.2 - Grade A - Premium API drilling grade barite meeting API 13A minimum specific gravity requirement for standard drilling fluid weighting agent use. Supplied to domestic drilling contractors, Indian oilfield service companies and mud manufacturers operating within India.

SG 4.1 - Grade B - Standard API drilling grade barite for conventional drilling fluid systems. Supplied to Indian drilling mud companies and oilfield operators domestically.

Both grades supplied in 200 mesh powder form with full Certificate of Analysis confirming SG, BaSO₄ content, screen residue and soluble alkaline earth metals per API 13A.

International buyers requiring SG 4.1 or 4.2 API grade barite should note these grades are currently restricted for export from India under DGFT policy.

Garnet Abrasive Sand - Domestic Supply

Natural garnet abrasive sand is widely used in oilfield surface preparation - for abrasive blasting and waterjet cutting of pipelines, offshore platforms, storage tanks and drilling equipment. Its high hardness, angular particle shape, low free silica content and recyclability make it the preferred abrasive in oilfield surface treatment globally.

However - as per DGFT Notification No. 26/2015-20 and confirmed by CESTAT Ahmedabad ruling (December 2025) - export of natural garnet from India is Restricted regardless of origin. Export is canalised exclusively through IREL (India) Limited, a Government of India undertaking. Private exporters cannot legally export natural garnet from India.

We supply garnet abrasive sand to domestic buyers within India - including Indian oilfield service companies, surface preparation contractors and pipeline coating applicators operating within India.
